Coinfection in pregnancy can lead to serious adverse consequences for maternal and neonatal health. How timely effectively control the occurrence of Healthcare-associated Infections (HAI) during hospitalization is one critical challenges facing obstetrics department. To evaluate current status infection prevention management departments secondary tertiary medical institutions Guiyang City. The findings will serve as a basis future improvement. This cross-sectional study was conducted city, Guizhou Province, China, from July December 2023. Nosocomial Infection Control Quality Improvement Center collaborated with 33 collect online survey data. contained five sections, including information about participating hospitals, basic on obstetric department, surveillance HAIs, building environment equipment, cleaning disinfection. Out hospitals invited participate, 28 (85.00% response rate) accepted completed survey. There were significant differences type educational backgrounds preventionists between care (P < 0.001). No other variables showed differences. configuration full-time Preventionists (IPs) both City, insufficient, situation being particularly severe hospitals. Additionally, terms personnel configuration, have high proportion nursing professionals lack highly educated talent. Therefore, it recommended that should staff sufficient, professional, well-structured IPs. Furthermore, actively establish nosocomial monitoring system enhance their capabilities. Moreover, establishing LDR (labor, delivery, recovery) rooms focus comfort help improve experience care, but its role preventing hospital infections requires further research.
