White matter hyperintensity (WMH) burden is associated with a higher risk of ischemic stroke. The relationship between WMH and obesity somewhat controversial which might be interfered by different body composition such as skeletal muscle, fat bone density. However, few researchers have evaluated the disaggregated constituents in acute stroke (AIS) patients systematically. A total 352 AIS were enrolled this study. subcutaneous adipose tissue, erector spinae muscle area density on computed tomography scanning. was using Fazekas scale based fluid-attenuated inversion recovery sequence. severity overall defined none-mild (total score 0-2) or moderate-severe 3-6). Age-associated cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) represents a clinically heterogenous condition, arising from diverse microvascular mechanisms. These lead to chronic cerebrovascular dysfunction and carry substantial risk of subsequent stroke vascular cognitive impairment in aging populations. Owing advances neuroimaging, vivo visualization vasculature abnormities detection CSVD, including lacunes, microinfarcts, microbleeds white matter lesions, is now possible, but remains resource-, skills- time-intensive approach.
