This research explores changes in perceptions and utilization of parks during the COVID-19 pandemic Seoul, South Korea. It investigates relationship between fear individuals’ opinions about open spaces their visiting decisions. The study surveyed 600 adults from February 22–23, 2022, used structural equation modeling to analyze data. findings revealed that increased led more positive park sentiments, resulting higher visits fewer other public spaces. highlights significance how people’s were influenced by pandemic-related fear.

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic had a profound impact on sleep and psychological well-being for individuals worldwide. This pre-registered investigation extends our prior study by tracking self-reported social jetlag (SJL), restriction (SSR), perceived life stress from May 2020 through October 2021. Using web-based surveys, we collected information with the Ultrashort Munich Chronotype Questionnaire at three additional timepoints (September 2020, February 2021 2021). Further, measured Perceived Stress Scale two (February In subsample of 181, predominantly female (87%), United States adults aged 19–89 years, expanded findings showing that precipitous drop in SJL during first wave (May 2020), compared to pre-pandemic (February, rapidly rose loosening restrictions though never returned levels. effect was greatest young adults, but not associated chronotype. decreased across pandemic, unrelated or SSR. These suggest schedules were sensitive pandemic-related changes restrictions, especially younger participants. We posit several possible mechanisms supporting these findings.
