Sleep is essential for maximal performance in the athletic population. Despite that, sport context has many factors that can negatively influence athletes' sleep and subsequent recovery.The purpose of this systematic review was to synthesize most recent literature regarding interventions aimed at improving athletes.The present conducted based on PRISMA guidelines PICOS approach. The search May 2022 using electronic database PubMed, SPORTDiscus via EBSCOhost, Web Science. Once extracted, studies were included if they met following criteria: (1) participants athletes individual or team sports; (2) implemented an intervention sleep; (3) measured least one objective performance/recovery outcome; (4) reported relationship between performance.The returned 1584 records. Following screening, a total 25 our inclusion criteria. All articles published 2011 2021. various interventions, such as hygiene, naps, extension, light manipulation, cold water immersion, mindfulness, combination two more strategies. extension naps representative effective strategies improve performance. Objective To estimate the association between daytime napping and cognitive physical sport performance fatigue after normal sleep partial deprivation (less duration than necessary). Design Systematic review meta-analysis. Data sources The PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Central, SportDiscus PsycINFO databases. Eligibility criteria for selecting studies Randomised controlled trials on effect available from inception to 2 December 2022. Standardised mean differences (SMD) their 95% compatibility intervals (CI) were estimated with DerSimonian-Laird method through random models. Results In 22 included trials, 291 male participants (164 trained athletes 127 physically active adults) aged 18 35 years studied. When performed a night sleep, 12:30 hours 16:50 (with 14:00 being most frequent time) improved (SMD=0.69, CI: 0.37 1.00; I =71.5%) (SMD=0.99, 0.67 1.31; =89.1%) reduced perception (SMD=−0.76, −1.24 –0.28; =89.5%). positive effects also confirmed deprivation. Overall, benefits higher nap 30 <60 min when time awakening test was greater 1 hour. Conclusions After or deprivation, has moderate-to-high improvement reduction perceived fatigue. Abstract Background Daytime napping is used by athletes as a strategy to supplement night time sleep and aid physical performance. However, no meta-analytical overview regarding the impact of following normal (7–9 h) on performance available. Objective The aim this study was evaluate effect daytime night-time in physically active individuals athletes. Methods This systematic review meta-analysis conducted accordance with Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines. Seven electronic databases (i.e., PubMed, Web Science, Scopus, SPORTDiscus, CINAHL, SCIELO, EBSCOhost) were search relevant studies that investigated napping, sleep, athletes, published any language, available before September 01, 2022. Abstract Respiratory health is a critical determinant of athletic performance, and the utilization restorative strategies, such as strategic napping, may offer competitive edge to athletes. This study investigates effects nap duration on respiratory function young elite athletes who have achieved top rankings national competitions. Participants engage in three test sessions with varying durations: no (N0), 25-minute (N25), 45-minute (N45), minimum 72-hour interval between sessions. parameters including Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), Expiratory Volume one second (FEV1), FEV1/FVC ratio, Peak Flow rate (PEF), at 25–75% FVC (FEF25-75%), Time (FET) are assessed. Objective Disrupted sleep and training behaviors in athletes have been reported during the COVID-19 pandemic. We aimed at investigating combined effects of Ramadan observance related lockdown Muslim athletes.
