ABSTRACT This study examines the extent to which camping experiences influence campers' restoration, psychological capital, and life satisfaction role distress plays in this process. Survey data were collected from 420 Chinese campers analyzed using multigroup structural equation modeling. This research navigates the dynamic terrain of global academia, where an increasing number scholars seek international opportunities for diverse academic growth. Recognizing a significant gap in existing literature, this study proposes to delve into oftenoverlooked dimension adaptive performance among foreign academics. Building on foundation cross-cultural adaptation theory, empirically tests interplay between emotional intelligence and psychological resilience shaping lecturers. In effort ground exploration, structured questionnaire was administered 800 lecturers based tier 1 cities, including new China. These cities were strategically chosen due their dense populations being hubs majority higher educational institutes.
