Abstract Sheep are an important source of protein for humans, and recent decades have seen a significant increase in the production sheep-based products, thus indicating demand this commodity. At time when sector is growing, sheep exposed to various challenges. These include climate change, which can cause heat stress sheep, including rams, later negatively affects their growth reproductive performance. Exposure results physiological behaviour responses could also be used visually identify effect as it will affect productivity livestock. In addition, year-round hot humid tropics expected contribute higher probability occurrences rams reared developing countries around equator. Nevertheless, adaptability varies according origin, whereby native breeds tend adapt better. Despite that, still affected by adverse environmental conditions rely on thermoregulation mechanisms mitigate stress. This numerous negative changes, such sweating increased heart rate. review highlights effects physiology, performance male sheep. The discusses impact management systems productivity.
