Abstract
Rac/Rop
proteins,
a
kind
of
unique
small
GTPases
in
plants,
play
crucial
roles
plant
growth
and
development
response
to
abiotic
biotic
stresses.
However,
it
is
poorly
understood
whether
cotton
protein
genes
are
involved
mediating
resistance
Verticillium
dahliae
.
Here,
we
focused
on
the
function
mechanism
gene
GhRac9
defense
infection.
The
expression
level
peaked
at
24
h
after
V.
infection
remained
consistently
elevated
from
48
upon
SA
treatment.
Furthermore,
silencing
using
VIGS
(Virus‐induced
silence)
method
attenuated
by
reducing
ROS
(Reactive
Oxygen
Species)
burst,
peroxidase
activity
lignin
content
plants.
On
contrary,
heterologous
overexpression
enhanced
Arabidopsis
significantly
increased
production

With
the
ever-increasing
importance
of
pistachio
as
a
crop
nut
worldwide,
there
has
developed
parallel
ingrowth
in
fungal
diseases
pertaining
to
it.
Pistachio
trees,
being
one
few
trees
that
grow
Mediterranean
climate,
have
come
under
several
serious
pathogens
endanger
its
very
production.
Such
conditions,
therefore,
require
review
major
affecting
pistachios:
namely,
Alternaria
Late
Blight.
The
biological
features
and
morphology
concerning
both
will
be
discussed
for
proper
identification
diagnosis.
Moreover,
covers
various
management
practices
control
these
diseases,
which
include
with
use
beneficial
microbes,
limited
application
chemical
fungicides,
efficient
methods
irrigation
minimize
pathogen-conducive
limitation
pathogen
reservoirs
by
weeds,
growing
resistant
varieties
pistachio.
integrated
contribute
better
plant
health
enable
producers
realize
full
growth
potential
continue
yields
at
high
levels.
