Heart valve replacement has many complications that affect patients and their family caregivers. Increasing patients' self-efficacy in dealing with reducing the care burden of caregivers are among critical factors impact quality life. Today, smartphone Apps allow access to reliable information without time place restrictions. It also facilitates teaching learning through low-cost easily accessible methods. This study was conducted examine effect a App on undergoing heart surgery. A randomized clinical trial pre-test / post-test design conducted. Sixty mechanical surgery were referred Shahid Modarres Hospital PT clinic Tehran, randomly divided into intervention control groups. The installed smartphones for educational purposes, they given 8 weeks use it. Sullivan's cardiac questionnaire Novak Guest's completed both groups before after intervention, respectively. Data statistically analyzed using descriptive inferential statistics SPSS-18 software. There no significant difference between two regarding demographic characteristics mean scores intervention.
