Abstract Across low- and middle-income countries, there have been calls to expand wastewater environmental surveillance include non-sewered sanitation systems. Considering public opinion, understanding, acceptance, as well any related privacy personal health information concerns, in this context is important. This study used an in-person survey learn more about Malawian Malawi refugee camp residents’ perceptions of tools, their information. The results indicated high support for surveilling communicable diseases, deadly toxicants, healthy eating, illegal drugs, mental illnesses, prescription drugs. Respondents were less supportive that may expose lifestyle behaviors alcohol use. Regarding sampling locations, the entire city or schools had highest acceptance. opposition business religious organizations found. If waste be monitored, wanted data analysis communicated.
