Purpose The aim of this paper is to determine whether the dominant integrated water resources management (IWRM) paradigm within which Pra River Basin managed holds key address current security and sustainability issues in Southwestern Ghana. Design/methodology/approach This study employed a literature review developed based on studies as well normative scenarios from broad scenario planning methodology. builds Wæver’s Theory Securitization Utilitarian theory protect bodies through use artificial intelligence (AI). Findings Insights introducing innovative environmental technology are presented propose Pra-integrated smart decision-making system that uses visual inspections, noise sensors, potential hydrogen (pH) probe sensor, real-time collection hydrological data (streamflow) wireless transmission at basin level. serves robust tool for managing basin’s sustainable development ecosystem by using AI against illegal mining. Originality/value proposed first its kind meant gain better understanding pollution incidents respond quickly them integrating Internet Things (IoT) technologies with traditional IWRM practices. addresses Basin, supports policy innovation, strengthens goal government contributes African Water Vision United Nations’ Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals 3 6.

An assessment of the ecological state small river basin Alma Republic Crimea has been carried out. Due to intensive nature management in 20th century, primary natural environment was transformed into a natural-engineering system (NES). The critical components NES are lowland sector and surface waters basin. flat turned an agricultural landscape with low coefficient protection, it needs transformation based on planning. Runoff River is almost completely regulated by reservoirs ponds, as result which channel deprived water for most year. It proposed restore flow redistributing reserves Partizansky reservoir establishing Western European consumption standards Simferopol.

Integrated water resources management (IWRM) has been criticized yet it is the dominant approach to in developing countries. The criticism emanates from manifold of unfounded assumptions made during implementation on issues such as availability technology and infrastructure, privatization sustainable financing, human resource capacity, government interference etc.The Pra Basin implementing IWRM since 2012.The basin houses nine out seventeen artificial reservoirs constructed Ghana for drinking supply. It therefore prudent that basin's are given extra care ensure quality quantity growth development. However, much uncertainty still exists about whether best system being practiced; working well; or needs improvement. This study used interviews, field observations, documents plan, National plan etc. assess effectiveness Basin. The result showed though appropriate basin, there gaps. These gaps potential contributors deteriorating quality.
