ABSTRACT Introduction Dexmedetomidine, a highly specific α2 agonist, has been extensively utilized in clinical sedation and surgical anesthesia since its introduction 2000 due to excellent sympatholytic, sedative, analgesic effects. This review aimed identify new approaches for the treatment of patients with brain disorders by thoroughly describing mechanism action dexmedetomidine examining neuroprotective effects from standpoints basic research. Methods The PubMed Web Science databases were searched using keywords related diseases, although relevant articles last decade included detailed summarization analysis. Results Dexmedetomidine shown strong effects, such as protection blood‐brain barrier, decreased neuronal death, maintained hemodynamic stability, reduced postoperative agitation cognitive dysfunction. Furthermore, exert various including anti‐inflammatory antioxidative stress modulation autophagy, reduction apoptosis cerebral diseases. Conclusions acts agent against diseases during all phases treatment. However, trials larger sample sizes are required optimize dosage dosing strategies.

Particulate matter exposure is linked to numerous health issues, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases. This review focuses on the biological mechanisms through which air pollution influences lung-brain axis, highlighting role of miRNAs in regulating gene pathways affected by PM. Some microRNAs (miRNAs) are identified as key modulators cellular processes, inflammation, epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), blood-brain barrier integrity. Using mice models study these effects allows for controlled experimentation systemic distribution PM across barriers. Among imaging technologies, Positron Emission Tomography best approach monitor vivo . The research underscores importance miRNA profiles potential markers exposure, suggesting that specific could serve early indicators damage axis.
