Background Detecting early changes in walking speed can allow older adults to seek preventative rehabilitation. Currently, there is a lack of consensus on which assessments use assess and how continuously monitor outside the clinic. Chirp privacy-preserving radar sensor developed adults’ safety mobility without need for cameras or wearable devices. Our study purpose was evaluate inter-sensor reliability, intrasession test-retest concurrent validity clinical setting. Methods We recruited 35 community-dwelling (mean age 75.5 (standard deviation: 6.6) years, 86% female). All participants lived alone an urban city southwestern Ontario had access smart device with wireless internet. Data were collected 4-meter ProtoKinetics Zeno TM Walkway (pressure sensors) (radar positioning) at end walkway. assessed during normal adaptive locomotion experimental conditions (walking-while-talking, obstacle, narrow walking, fast walking). selected as measure it good predictor functional but also associated physical cognitive functioning adults. Each conducted twice randomized order, trials performed last. For intra-session reliability testing, we two blocks walks within participant session separated by approximately 30 minutes. Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (A,1) (ICC ) used validity. Linear regression, adjusted gender, investigate association between cognition health-related quality life scores. However, studies have not unquestionably confirmed effectiveness preoperative rehabilitation and its impact on outcome surgery. The aim this study assess outpatient home in relation a control group subject these forms influence. 61 patients qualified primary arthroplasty were randomly assigned with surgery, exercises at home, or without any intervention Three weeks after re-qualified underwent three day department. from all groups evaluated terms functionality pain using point scales upon enrolment study, admission department, 3 50 subjects completed study. did reveal statistically significant differences between no intervention. Patients rehabilitated gave up self-therapy more often than those undergoing rehabilitation.

Shoulder pain represents the most frequently reported musculoskeletal disorder, often leading to significant functional impairment and pain, impacting quality of life. Home-based rehabilitation programs offer a more accessible convenient solution for an effective shoulder disorder treatment, addressing logistical financial constraints associated with traditional physiotherapy. Background Stroke therapy is essential to reduce impairments and improve motor movements by engaging autogenous neuroplasticity. Traditionally, stroke rehabilitation occurs in inpatient outpatient facilities. However, recent literature increasingly explores moving the recovery process into home integrating technology-based interventions. This study advances this goal promoting in-home, autonomous for patients who experienced a through robotics-assisted classifying residual severity using machine learning methods. Objective Our main objective use kinematics data collected during self-guided sessions develop supervised methods, address clinician’s classification of severity–labeled toward improving rehabilitation. Methods In total, 33 participated in-home Motus Nova robotics technology capture upper lower body motion. During each session, Hand Foot devices movement data, assistance activity-specific data. The integration of technology in physiotherapy practices holds immense promise for advancing patient care and outcomes. Yet, the swift evolution technological solutions necessitates a cautious discerning approach from physiotherapists. This article explores complexities surrounding adoption physiotherapy, emphasizing thorough evaluation, critical analysis, context-driven implementation. By acknowledging limitations constraints inherent various advancements, physiotherapists can effectively harness their potential while prioritizing patient-centered evidence-based practice. Such an ensures that serves as tool to augment clinical decision-making therapeutic interventions, rather than overshadowing fundamental principles personalized holistic rehabilitation. As continues reshape landscape balanced strategy values both innovation well-being remains paramount optimizing outcomes fostering sustainable healthcare practices.
