Self-efficacy is defined as a belief that one can successfully cope with challenging situations. There evidence perceived self-efficacy (SE) modulate cognitive and affective behavior. In the present study, we asked whether SE related to various characteristics of mental time travel (MTT) performance, well its phenomenological concomitants. Individuals high evaluated their MTTs more positive attributed themselves active role within events reported, compared low individuals. We found when prompted positively or negatively valenced cue words, participants generated MTT-reports which spread farther in space. These results suggest associated multiple alterations cued MTTs. Future research should investigate these contribute effects on health.
