Purpose – This study explores the role of Islamic early childhood educators in fostering tolerance awareness educational settings while maintaining a strong identity. It addresses tension between promoting religious exclusivity and an appreciation for diversity pluralistic society, with aim to contribute both practice theory on education. Design/methods/approach The employs qualitative descriptive exploratory design using content analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews five teachers observations classroom interactions. management framework was used analyze approaches taken by integrating education within curricula. Findings research highlights various strategies use promote tolerance, including storytelling, empathy training, participatory rule-making. findings reveal balance identity education, sequential approach that prioritizes principles first, followed introduction concepts. Despite challenges, such as external influences technological distractions, demonstrates these positively impact children’s social behaviors. Research implications/limitations is limited sample size geographic scope, focusing specific institutions. Future could expand explore cross-cultural comparisons different contexts generalize findings. Practical implications provide valuable insights educators, policymakers, curriculum developers balancing teachings suggests gradual integrated teaching can foster harmony young children without compromising values.
