Abstract This paper presents a cross-sectional study that demonstrates how King Abdulaziz University has responded to the lockdown imposed by Ministry of Education in Saudi Arabia due Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose this was examine perceptions students and faculty towards assessment had take place online physical or social distancing rules lockdowns. A descriptive mixed-method conducted with two different self-administered questionnaires were developed for faculty, respectively. total 547 responses received from undergraduate 213 faculty. main finding suggests need multilevel approach problems cheating plagiarism, including raising student awareness ethics, training teachers detect methods, institutions activating their code practice applying severe sanctions on those who engage such practices.

A study by Al-Jarf (2020) showed that 55% of students and instructors preferred F2F instruction were not satisfied with DL unfamiliarity, lack training, interaction, technical problems others. Fall Semester 2021, Saudi universities resumed in combination some online classes. emergencies such as weather conditions, all rather than cancelling This status quo has continued until now. explores students’ preferences for vs learning, their attitudes towards each reasons preferences.
