Transformations in agriculture not only change the ways which natural resources and social capital are used but also a prerequisite for different opportunities to create added value improve viability sustainability of rural areas. The purpose this article is assess differences effects transformations Bulgarian regions. Based on statistical data from Censuses agricultural holdings 2010 2020, DEA method was applied. Six models (three input-oriented three output-oriented) were constructed tested, efficiency coefficients assessed regional level. degree structural changes production other evaluated, conclusions drawn. In majority models, observed between Northern regions country South Western Central most significant coefficient labor force used, output produced, gross added, net mixed income. multidirectional observed. North region all calculated increased, Eastern regions, decreased. analysis, recommendations related region-specific policies better resource allocation sustainable development proposed.
