Ashwagandha, scientifically known as Withania somnifera (WS) , is a perennial plant which belongs to family Solanaceae, grows abundantly in subtropical regions world. Ashwagandha renowned Ayurvedic herb with diverse applications global dietary supplements traditional medicines. It has extensive medicinal potential Indian systems such (Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha) contemporary medicine, recognized “Indian ginseng.” WS additive composed various phytochemicals active compounds withanolides, polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, exhibit therapeutic properties, including anti‐inflammatory, anticancer, antistress, antioxidant, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, cardioprotective, hypoglycemic, hepatoprotective, immunomodulatory, rejuvenating effects. been proven be highly effective against numerous neurological psychological disorders.
