Students’ usage of Over-the-top (OTT) streaming platforms affecting their academic and socio-demographic profile

As the world is reeling under effects of COVID-19 pandemic, most people have faced shift to online modes communication in spheres like education, work from home and even entertainment. Students turned over-the-top (OTT) platforms order relax relieve stress. The present study attempts measure usage OTT its effect on students’ academic lives concerning performance, concentration productivity, health issues, time-management, their socio-demographic profile. employed explanatory descriptive research designs sent out instruments measuring other variables 800 students across India. obtained 535 successful responses pursuing 11th grade post-graduation. Data analysis included statistics, parametric t-test, ANOVA MANOVA. revealed that used extensively for Descriptive data gave a detailed account during crisis. Usage affected time management. recommends future researchers find positive negative youth post-pandemic scenario.
