Global population growth generates problems relating to increasing demand for sustainable energy and waste treatment. Proper solid management promotes material reuse, maximizes recovery reduces anthropological pressure on natural resources. Anaerobic digestion (AD) is an alternative method of stabilizing organic substrates generating biogas as a source environmentally friendly energy. In addition, digestate not only product that process but also renewable resource with many potential applications. The circular economy concept encourages the use nutrients plant improves soil properties. However, stabilized often contain various contaminants, including heavy metals (HMs) antibiotics are detected in digestate. Therefore, agricultural obtained by AD could increase pool these pollutants water environments contribute their circulation ecosystems. Moreover, may co-selection genes determining resistance HMs environmental microorganisms. This article comprehensively reviews published data residues antimicrobial substances different digestates around world maps scope problem. risk residual levels contaminants has been evaluated. review highlights lack legal standards regulating concentrations drugs introduced into results ecological assessment indicate presence medically important antimicrobials products, especially those used agriculture, should be limited.

Digestate as a by-product of biogas production requires appropriate utilization methods to convert it into valuable resource. This study investigated the feasibility using digestate from plant sustainable feedstock for fuel pellet production. an agricultural was dried and pelletized, both with without addition biochar. The resulting pellets were analyzed their physicochemical properties, elemental composition, calorific value. Samples examined calorimeter XRF analyzer. Results showed that exhibited promising characteristics comparable traditional wood (17.07–17.11 MJ/kg). However, biochar, while increasing value, led high ash content elevated concentrations Cl, S, N, Ni, Zn, exceeding acceptable limits defined by ISO 17225-6. Consequently, biochar is not recommended due potential environmental concerns upon combustion. findings highlight initial moisture 7–7.5% most suitable pelletization in terms mechanical durability strength quality. Further research fully assess economic viability digestate-based pellets. approach addresses two issues: enables waste produces

Energy from biogas is one of the most promising renewable energy sources. Significant, for technical, economic, and environmental reasons, construction agricultural microgas plants next to households specialising in cattle rearing. The availability free substrate makes it possible not only produce one's electricity heat but also a more environmentally human-friendly manure. operation is, unfortunately, associated with technical problems. This paper presents results study quality generated an plant built at farm dairy cows, where owner reported problem voltage power supply network. Therefore, selected parameters occurring connection point were analysed detail. As authors' research showed, case question, was connected via cable too small conductor cross-section, which resulted significant exceedances, making impossible switch on second plant's generators. Replacement feed-in has enabled both generators run, fluctuations values still noticeable. Analysis subsequent measurements revealed need changes design digester itself. proposal change replace two current mixers (each rated 9 kW) lower power. new would operate alternating system, always be activated.

Energy from biogas is widely available, inexpensive, and often contributes to waste management, making it one of the most promising renewable energy sources. The main factors influencing this process’ efficiency include substrates’ chemical composition, temperature, digester load. This paper presents possibilities offered by a plant built at farm specialising in dairy cows. dependence power generated micro on its technical parameters was analysed detail. Studies carried out authors an agricultural microgas (with electrical output 40 kW) have shown that they are designed maintain continuous production, despite changing process such as mass level, height, temperature or slurry flow into digester. However, point view amount electricity generated, changes would be made design plant. Firstly, more powerful generator installed cover requirements equipment so close rated capacity still sent grid. Secondly, replacing two existing agitators digestion (9 kW each) with lower (e.g., four 4.5 necessary. Constructing agricultural microbial gasification plants near livestock farms is essential for technical, economic, and environmental reasons. Utilising substrates from these allows producing electricity, heat, environmentally friendly manure. However, biogas often face technical challenges. This study evaluates the power quality of an plant on a dairy farm. It was found that connected via cable with insufficient conductor cross-section, leading to significant voltage overshoots exceeding 14.6%, which prevented activation second generator. Both generators could operate after replacing feed-in cable, but considerable fluctuations in persisted. Further measurements indicated need changes digester design. Specifically, current two mixers more lower-powered operating alternately proposed. Sharing solutions broadly can help prevent similar issues future gas constructions optimise electricity production.
