This study examines air quality in Polish health resorts (HR) and its potential risks, challenging the belief that these environments always provide safe for recovery. Over five years, was evaluated by measuring concentrations of PM10 benzo(a)pyrene (B(a)P) seven with varying environmental conditions. Using data from 3781 daily samples, both non-carcinogenic carcinogenic risks were assessed visitors (various age groups) employees to determine prolonged exposure. The findings show frequent exceedances national B(a)P limits, some resorts, such as HR2 Rabka-Zdrój HR3 Polanica-Zdrój, surpassing permissible levels up 320% 373%, especially winter. Non-carcinogenic exceeded limits 40% 18% HR6 (Szczawno-Zdrój). Carcinogenic 3.74 times higher than acceptable 3.15 HR5 (Latoszyn), indicating a continuous risk long-term These underscore urgent need measures improve HRs. Given global implications, similar could affect worldwide. Therefore, future research should focus on cross-border studies innovative strategies manage pollution protect health.

Construction projects contribute to economic activities, leading multiplier effects that boost an economy. Nevertheless, construction activities have contributed increasing air pollution emissions, challenges for the site workers and residents dwelling around site. This paper provides a systematic literature review on types of pollutants emitted during project processes, emission sources, exposed individuals. Various secondary sources data were used, published from 2000 2023. Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses guidelines used in selection. study established most predominant pollutant concern released is particulate matter. Other pollutants, such as carbon monoxide oxides nitrogen, also identified. The main processes demolition works, quarry sites, machinery/equipment, on-road traffic. It essential industry stakeholders be conscious caused by proffer solutions curtail this menace. will assist reducing devastating effect people ensure sustainable processes.

Abstract This study introduces a novel approach to visibility modelling, focusing on PM1 concentration, its chemical composition, and meteorological conditions in two distinct Polish cities, Zabrze Warsaw. The analysis incorporates concentration measurements as well composition parameters, including data collected during summer winter measurement campaigns (120 samples each city). developed calculation procedure encompasses several key steps: formulating prediction model through machine learning, identifying clusters using unsupervised learning methods, conducting global sensitivity for cluster. multi-layer perceptron methods demonstrate high accuracy predicting visibility, with R values of 0.90 Warsaw an RMSE 1.52 km Zabrze. Key findings reveal that air temperature relative humidity significantly impact alongside specific heavy metals such Rb, Vi, Cd Cr, Mo Cluster underscores the localized complex nature determinants, highlighting substantial but previously underappreciated role metals. Integrating k-means clustering GSA emerges powerful tool unravelling mechanisms compound changes particulate matter air, influencing development.
