Bark and ambrosia beetles pose significant threats to the stability of forest stands worldwide, making their control crucial. Among these pests, Gnathotrichus materiarius , a polyphagous invasive beetle living on conifers, has successfully established itself in Europe. Early identification pests plays fundamental role designing effective pest strategies. The work aimed assess efficacy different lures Ecotrap ® for capturing bark beetles. tested included Wood Stainers Lure (containing potential pheromone sulcatol adults), α-pinene, ethanol UHR, Cembräwit. objective was determine most suitable lure use traps. In four locations western Bohemia, total 7,410 individuals from 46 species beetleswere captured. abundance ( Cyclorhipidion bodoanum Xyleborinus attenuatus Xylosandrus germanus ) primarily depended day season secondarily used. Although population density low, more were caught using as lure. Notably, accounted less than 3 % number detected (187 individuals). Ethanol found be universal attracting beetles, with majority Scolytinae being captured traps baited ethanol.
