Reading is a fundamental activity that affects every individual in learning various kinds of knowledge. activities can become the foundation an supports character formation process. Teaching reading not easy task because it requires preparation several things, such as environmental conditions, teaching techniques, strategies, and others. This research was motivated by low interest among sixth-grade students MI Muhammadiyah Panican Indonesian language learning. study aims to provide solutions through implementation PQ4R strategy assisted Comic media sixth grade at Panican. The method used Classroom Action Research (CAR), which conducted two cycles. subjects this were Panican, totaling 17 students. results showed students' first cycle had reached percentage 64% with fewer criteria, while second cycle, obtained 80% good criteria. applying has successfully increased according expected success indicators
