The stereocontrol of E → Z isomerization on a (1E,3E)-diene, instead simple alkene, can be more challenging due to the increased number possibilities. Herein, we report visible light-mediated regioselective (1E,3E 1E,3Z) (1E,3E)-diene. reaction conditions are mild and easy apply applied wide range substances, with an excellent yield selectivity (90:10). It is evident from crystal structures that cause regioselectivity for 1,3-diene may not limited 1,3-allylic strains; CH−π interaction also play vital role. Computational studies suggest this photoisomerization thermodynamically feasible process requires accumulation spin density modified double bond transformation occur.
