Background and Objectives: Diabetes is a significant health problem, prompting the search for new therapeutic strategies. Recently, researchers have focused on identifying novel markers progression of this condition. It well established that adipokines, such as progranulin vaspin, play crucial roles in regulating lipid carbohydrate metabolism. Materials Methods: This single-center cross-sectional study aimed to assess serum vaspin levels 80 children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) examine their correlation body mass index (BMI), glycated hemoglobin, profile. The cohort included 40 newly diabetes, long-term (20 well-controlled 20 poorly controlled), 14 non-diabetic control group. Progranulin were determined using sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Results: There no differences concentrations studied groups (p = 0.246 p 0.095, respectively). No statistically noted both adipokines among boys girls within T1D, controlled T1D groups. We did not find any all healthy controls when divided based BMI percentiles. A negative was observed between concentration age Furthermore, correlated negatively T1D. In contrast, positively children. Conclusions: Our provides insights into status pediatric participants varying control. However, further research involving larger patient cohorts different stages sexual maturation warranted.
