Seven new alkaloids [1, (±)-2, (±)-3, 4, and 5] one natural product (6), along with eight known analogues, were isolated from the tubers of Pinellia pedatisecta Schott. Their structures determined by a comprehensive analysis spectroscopic data, including HRESIMS, electronic circular dichroism (ECD). In addition, results bioactivity evaluation showed that compounds 6, 9 exhibited significantly protective effects against Aβ25-35-induced PC-12 cell injury ameliorated viabilities decreasing levels reactive oxidative species (ROS) mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP).

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is characterized by, among other things, dementia and a decline in cognitive performance. In AD, has neurodegenerative features starts with mild impairment (MCI). Research indicates that apoptosis neuronal loss occur which oxidative stress plays an important role. Therefore, reducing antioxidants natural strategy to prevent slow down the progression of AD. Carotenoids are pigments commonly found fruits vegetables. They include lipophilic carotenes, such as lycopene, α- β-carotenes, more polar xanthophylls, for example, lutein, zeaxanthin, canthaxanthin, β-cryptoxanthin. can cross blood-brain barrier (BBB) scavenge free radicals, especially singlet oxygen, helps peroxidation lipids abundant brain. As result, carotenoids have neuroprotective potential. Numerous vivo vitro studies, well randomized controlled trials, mostly confirmed help neurodegeneration alleviate While not been officially approved AD therapy, they indicated diet recommended including consumption products rich carotenoids. This review summarizes latest research findings supporting potential use preventing alleviating symptoms. A literature suggests should be promoted avoid One goals food industry encourage enrichment functional substances, carotenoids, may reduce risk diseases.

It has been reported that miR-375-3p plays a critical role in numerous diseases. To elucidate its biological function, particularly differential expression and specific mechanisms of action Alzheimer’s disease (AD) small cell lung cancer (SCLC), this study comprehensively explores the associations between target genes both AD SCLC. The focus is specifically on impact progression remodeling tumor microenvironment. We utilized databases such as psRNATarget database STRING database, to construct protein–protein interaction (PPI) network for classification discrimination gene, resulting identification 14 intersecting genes. Subsequently, two key genes, ASCL1 CHD7, along with their associated were further analyzed using Spearman correlation analysis. identified then subjected GO function annotation KEGG pathway enrichment was determined pathways related lipid metabolism, autophagy, apoptosis differentially expressed SCLC environments, nine identified, among which PI3K most prominent. Finally, we demonstrated significantly differed higher levels observed compared Our confirmed can promote apoptosis, regulate influence neurodegenerative diseases, inhibit proliferation metastasis cells. These research findings may have significant implications future treatment

The aim of individuals consuming health supplements is to attain a robust state through nutritional regulation. However, some unscrupulous manufacturers, motivated by profit, fraudulently incorporate drugs or unauthorized components with therapeutic effects into the product for instant performance enhancement. long-term use these products may inadvertently inflict harm on human and fail promote nutritive healthcare. illegal inclusion substances prevalent in kidney-tonifying sexuality-enhancing products. Developing effective analytical methods identify screen added ingredients can effectively prevent such from reaching remaining market. A target screening method detection quantification 90 phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors (PDE-5is) kinds was developed validated. dietary varied tablets, capsules, protein powder wine beverages. Sample preparation completed one-step liquid phase extraction. process PDE-5is done efficiently within 25 min ultra-high chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) using dynamic multiple reaction monitoring (dMRM) technique. LODs were detected at levels ranging 85 ng/g ng/mL. This novel targeting methodology be applied routine market supervision. Among 286 batches samples, 8 found positive. Three first healthy demonstrated herein will promising powerful tool rapid PDE-5is.
