Developing new photocatalysts for the selective oxidation of thioethers to high-value-added sulfoxides under low-oxygen mild conditions is a promising but challenging strategy. Here, polyoxometalate-based metal–organic framework (POMOF), CoBW12–TPT, was successfully synthesized, wherein continuous π···π stacking interactions and direct coordination bonds not only strengthen framework's stability also accelerate electron transfer. A series experiments theoretical studies, including control experiments, kinetic electrochemical spectroscopic analyses, paramagnetic resonance, revealed synergistic catalytic effect among Co(II) metal centers, BW12O405–, photosensitizer TPT. CoBW12–TPT applied in photocatalytic sulfoxides. Under irradiation, photoinduced transfer POMOF leads generation superoxide radicals from O2, which controls sulfoxide compounds desulfurization reaction shows good activity. In particular, it can be construction some drug molecules such as Modafinil Albendazole Oxide.

Ribbon-like coordination polymers (CP) represents a highly unexplored innovative class of metal-coordination network. Herein, we have developed scalable and chemically robust (pH=3-10 stable) ribbon-like CP [{Cu(Pim)(L)(H2O).H2O}]n (1) following complete environment-friendly green synthesis route. Considering the presence surface flanked labile coordinated water molecules their appealing correlation with one-dimensional structural characteristics, such sort was explored for first time as excellent heterogeneous catalyst largely three-component Hantzsch condensation different classes dihydropyridine (DHP). Moreover, 1 is employed to synthesize bio-responsive drug 'Ethidine' (possessing high anti-oxidant anticarcinogenic properties) characterized Single Crystal X-ray Diffraction (SCXRD) analysis. p-Benzoquinones are important organic intermediates in the synthesis of biopharmaceuticals and fine chemicals. In this study, two crystalline 3D polyoxovanadate-based metal–organic frameworks, H[Cu(tpi)2]{Cu2V7O21}·H2O (1, tpi = C18N5H13) [Co(Htpi)2]{V4O12} (2, Htpi C18N5H14), were synthesized, which as heterogeneous catalysts showed excellent catalytic activities for p-benzoquinones. Both compounds characterized by IR, UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, TG, XPS, X-ray diffraction, etc. 1, {Cu2V7} clusters connected together copper cations 1D Cu–organic coordination chains to yield a polyoxometalate-based framework (POMOF); 2, adjacent 2D bimetallic oxide layers, constructed from polyoxovanadate cobalt ions, further Co–organic form POMOF. Noteworthily, trimethyl-p-benzoquinone, key intermediate vitamin E, using 2,3,6-trimethylphenol model substrate, turnover frequency values 1 2 can, respectively, reach 607 380 h–1 8 min. Furthermore, both demonstrated recyclability structural stability, PXRD IR. The mechanism reveals that homolytic radical heterolytic oxygen atom transfer involved.
