Abstract
Multimodal
generative
artificial
intelligence
is
revolutionizing
critical
domains,
including
education,
healthcare,
business,
and
entertainment.
This
article
presents
a
comprehensive
umbrella
review
of
prominent
surveys,
reviews,
SLRs
on
advances
in
AI
teaching
learning,
synthesizing
its
applications,
benefits,
challenges,
implications.
We
applied
the
systematic
literature
(SLR)
protocol
PRISMA
framework
to
guide
our
search
methodology
screen
relevant
studies
ensure
accuracy
replicability
reduce
bias.
searched
three
popular
academic
databases,
namely
Scopus,
Web
Science,
Google
Scholar,
screening
451
candidate
articles
published
between
2020
2024.
From
these,
we
identified
46
GenAI
reviews
education.
Our
investigation
answered
five
research
questions
covering
disciplines
adopting
AI,
applications
large
multimodal
models
their
impact
student
performance,
assessment,
overarching
challenges.
Recent
trends
showed
China
USA
as
leading
publishers
ChatGPT
most
tool
used
text
primary
modality
interaction
among
students
teachers.
Several
explored
application
multiple
instead
single
domain.
Students
use
tools
understand
complex
notions,
learn
foreign
languages,
improve
writing
skills,
prepare
for
assessments,
enhance
engagement.
However,
teachers
apply
develop
course
materials,
pedagogical
methods,
design
various
evaluate
learning
outcomes,
provide
personalized
feedback.
conclude
by
presenting
taxonomy
challenges
impeding
adoption
learning.
Key
issues
include
dishonesty,
negative
impacts
thinking
integration
with
traditional
philosophies,

emotional
platforms.

This
study
examines
the
effectiveness
of
Discovery
Learning
and
Problem-Based
(PBL)
methods
in
improving
quality
learning
outcomes
grade
V
students
IPAS
(Natural
Social
Sciences)
subjects.
Using
a
quasi-experimental
approach
as
well
nonequivalent
control
group
design,
this
was
conducted
at
MIN
4
Jombang
with
64
divided
into
experimental
(n=34)
(n=30)
groups.
Data
collection
can
be
done
pretest-posttest
assessments,
questionnaires,
observation
sheets.
The
results
showed
very
significant
difference
between
two
methods,
where
class
achieved
higher
average
posttest
score
(89.12)
than
PBL
(85.33).
In
addition,
questionnaire
that
had
scores

motivation,
activeness,
participation

Statistical
analysis
using
t-test
proved
groups
(t=3.214,
p=0.002).
