The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the problem-based learning approach affects students' critical thinking abilities in courses on conservation biology. This design uses a non-equivalent control group quasi-experiment. Essay exam questions totaling 10 valid and reliable numbers served as study's instrument. Pre-test post-test were used gather data. Descriptive statistics inferential statistical tests, namely covariance (ANCOVA) analysis with pretest values variables at significance level 0.05%, evaluate research IMB 23 SPSS program was utilized for data because homogeneous regularly distributed. findings demonstrated that, value 0.000 < 0.05, there significant difference students taught using conventional model those model. conclusion that biology classes, helps develop their skills.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of problem-based learning models on students' metacognition in science learning. type research is a meta-analysis using PRISMA 2020 method. Articles from Scopus and Google Scholar databases were collected Publish or Perish (PoP) software. From 8 articles that met inclusion criteria, total 20 data obtained be processed meta-analysis. Data analysis was used with JASP software. The results this metaanalysis show model provides moderate effectiveness (r RE = 0.67; SE 0.16; z 4.24; p < 0.001). shows can improve Through PBL, students become more aware their cognitive strategies learn organise them effectively. Incorporating PBL into curriculum significantly metacognition, leading independent effective students. Therefore, widely adopting education recommended achieve better outcomes

Abstract and complex learning materials presented with monotonous models can lead to decreased motivation suboptimal outcomes due student boredom. This study aims determine the effect of make-a-match assisted scramble model on grade X students' atomic structure material. The research method was quasi-experimental a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. location at A Sleman High School for 2023/2024 academic year uses two samples: class XC as an experimental XG class. sampling technique used is cluster random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires test questions. Mann-Whitney applied analyze data, revealing significance values 0.045 0.000, both below 0.05 threshold. results indicate that significantly enhances students
