Introduction: Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) flower ethanol extract has been reported to have antihyperglycemic activity and encapsulation of the into nano chitosan-tripolyphospate are believed a better delivery system for their bioactive substances. This research aimed investigate effectiveness chitosan-Etlingera elatior in reducing blood sugar malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, as well boosting superoxide dismutase (SOD) levels hyperglycemic rats induced by streptozotocin. Methods: study used randomized post-test only control group design observe glucose, (MDA), markers oxidative stress. The chemical constituents were analysed with liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS). characteristic zeta potential value -16.2.80 mV particle size 312.7 nm. Results: test conducted on streptozotocin revealed that oral route chitosan-based improved stress parameters. chitosan at dose 50 mg/Kg BW/day provided best result glucose MDA while SOD level rats. Conclusion: is effective decreasing increasing Nano extracts created encapsulating substances significant development compounds medical field.
