Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi level kognitif siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek 2 berkemampuan matematika tinggi. Instrumen 3 butir HOTS materi bangun ruang sisi datar dan pedoman wawancara. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, wawancara dokumentasi. Teknik analisis model Miles, Huberman Saldana terdiri dari: kondensasi data, penyajian penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Kategori Tinggi 1 maupun mampu memecahkan masalah C-4, sehingga memenuhi indikator Analyze, kategori Differentiating, Organizing, Attributing. SKT juga C-5 Evaluate Checking Critiquing. Namun, SKT1 tidak C-6, Create, baik Generating, Planning, Producing. Oleh karena itu, Level kelas IX Buq’atun Mubarakah Makassar kriteria Analize Evaluate. mengintegrasikan mengeksplorasi proses berpikir secara lebih mendalam strategi bagaimana mereka berbagai konsep geometris pemecahan berbasis

Geometry is one of the required mathematics courses for students at every educational level. This study examined teachers’ perspectives on important aspects learning geometry. Three junior high school teachers participated in this study, which formed basis exploratory investigation. A qualitative approach was used and interviews were conducted to gather data. Using semi-structured interviews, each teacher’s conversation lasted between thirty hour. The perspective highlighted three cognitive abilities consider when assisting geometry: spatial thinking, problem-solving abilities, higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). This research aimed to identify the level of fulfillment mathematics teaching requirements among teachers in intermediate stage develop higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). To achieve objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was adopted, and questionnaire for needed HOTS school students constructed. The included 50 statements distributed into four dimensions: develop: problem-solving skills, decision-making critical creative skills. administered 136 teachers. results revealed that general moderate. were ranked first, with high level. second, moderate third, fourth low also showed there statistically significant differences at ≤ 0.05) due qualification, years experience, training hours.
