Project-Based
Learning
(PBL)
has
been
lauded
as
a
robust
alternative
to
traditional,
didactic
instructional
methods.
Despite
its
growing
adoption,
comprehensive
syntheses
of
effect
on
student
learning
remain
scarce.
This
study
aims
fill
this
gap
by
systematically
reviewing
and
meta-analyzing
the
impact
PBL
students’
academic
performance
across
various
disciplines.
Employing
PRISMA
guidelines,
we
evaluated
70
research
articles
published
between
2010
2023
that
quantitatively
measured
educational
outcomes.
Our
analysis,
facilitated
advanced
meta-analysis
software,
revealed
consistent,
moderate
substantial
enhancement
in
under
compared
conventional
teaching.
The
aggregate
mean
weighted
size
(d+)
was
0.652,
indicating
significant
positive
influence
achievement.
persisted
different
sample
sizes
time
frames
within
period.
findings
underscore
PBL’s
superiority
fostering
success,
particularly
science
subjects.
Consequently,
article
contributes
scholarly
discourse
delineating
specific
conditions
magnitudes
effectiveness
recommends
broader
