Journal of Aviation Research, Journal Year: 2024, Volume and Issue: 6(1), P. 89 - 115

Published: Feb. 23, 2024

In this article, a comprehensive review of the integration Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) into shared airspace is presented. By applying systematic methodology, study clarifies main challenges, problems, and possible fixes related to safety, coordination, regulatory frameworks. The results demonstrate critical role that several elements play in supporting safety UAV integration. These include multi-layered models, careful path planning, secure communication networks, Conflict Detection Resolution (CDR) strategies, strong regulations. paper explores potential Human-in-the-loop Reinforcement Learning (HRL) (RL) algorithms train UAVs for maneuvering through complex terrain adapting changing circumstances. study's conclusions highlight importance ongoing research projects, stakeholder cooperation continuous support technology developments-all which are necessary ensure safe orderly airspace.
