The aim of the research was to obtain information on civic values future journalists through involvement in volunteering, online activism, solidarity practices, as well perceptions profession. methodology study based general logical and scientific approaches, empirical data collected 2021–2022, observation, comparison, conversations, an anonymous semiclosed questionnaire survey. findings (N=90) 2nd 4th grade students may be beneficial for media experts, sociologists, teachers, civil servants. author concludes that expression concern about social problems, personal active presence are not automatic prerequisites citizenship. At declarative normative level, do question importance citizenship journalists. But they have serious difficulties linking practically journalism. Informants get involved grassroots levels digital but feel own subjectivity perceive their actions part activism. Future even dismiss themselves from activism or resort its neutral, unambiguous socially approved comfortable forms, which cause neither internal nor external conflict. draws particular attention value practices arise it.
