This paper presents data on the ecology, chorology phytocenology of C. species from Oltenia region (Romania) (data literature, herbariums, field). In sub-spontaneous flora region, found sheltered resorts counties Gorj (Glogova, Valea Perilor, Tismana, Pocruia, Polovragi, etc.) Mehedinți (Comăneşti, Baia de Aramă, etc.), mesobasic soils, balanced hydraulic point view. It was identified cultivated state, few specimens, previously mentioned Vâlcea county, near monasteries (eg Horezu Monastery). The phytocoenoses where this grows are rich southern elements Cornus mas L., Cerasus avium (L.) Moench, Quer-cus dalechampii Ten., Tilia tomentosa Moench etc.).
