Measuring what it tends to measure makes a tool powerful and useful for decision-making. As the Amharic version summary of diabetes self-care activity scale construct hasn't yet been validated, there is an urgent need validation. This study aims validate among type 2 mellitus patients in Addis Ababa hospitals. A facility-based cross-sectional design was used recruit 600 participants. The data collected using open-data-kit exported SPSS STATA analysis. Both exploratory confirmatory factor analysis performed on 300 randomly allocated separate samples. total four factors with eigenvalue greater than one, constituting nine items, were identified. average variance executed (AVE) becomes 0.78, composite reliability 0.97. Hence convergence between items new construct. overall internal consistency 0.853, which 0.7, affirming We can conclude that this 4-factor structure 9-item SDSCA highly valid reliable. Researchers clinicians are recommended use validated tool.
