Heavy metals (HMs) exert a negative impact on physiological processes in plants, which can adversely affect the productivity of agricultural crops. In this experiment, we assessed potential to mitigate toxic effects HMs soft wheat through use rhizospheric microorganisms from genus Azospirillum. initial phase identified most resistant Azospirillum strains Cu (from 1.5 15 mg/L), Ni 2 20 and Pb 15.9 159.4 mg/L). Both significantly inhibited bacterial growth induced substantial oxidative stress majority studied strains. The strain A. picis B-2897T exhibited highest resistance all HMs. cultivation soil supplemented with led an increased rate enhanced productivity. Conversely, reduced by 65% 27%, respectively. This was accompanied chlorophyll depletion decrease expression genes NDOR GST, are involved xenobiotic detoxification. Pre-inoculation seeds HM concentration plant seedlings; particular, level 0.005% below detectable (i.e., 0.001%), 0.014% 0.008%. bacteria stimulated responsible for detoxification contributed wheat. Thus, be utilized as bioproduct alleviate

Wheat farming is of utter importance in every country around the world, since it a critical crop that contributes to food security and rural development. Given this importance, research work investigates trends, determinants, spatial variability Polish wheat production between years 2004 2023, with key interest productivity, resilience, sustainable farming. This will apply spatiotemporal analysis, statistical modeling, ARIMA forecasting identification environmental, economic, policy factors interact yield. Determinants include climatic variables, temperature, precipitation, costs, market prices. These results point great regional disparities yield; apparently better regions, such as Opole Pomerania, enjoy exceptionally good environmental conditions access modern technology, while regions like Podlasie Subcarpathia are characterized by poor soil quality shortage resources. paper has pointed out need for differential intervention policies could contribute reducing yield gaps, increasing resilience climate change, hence contributing growth. The stabilized yields projected underline sector various challenges, from fluctuations. also indicate how innovative practices, supported enabling frameworks, essential promotion an environmentally friendly way, precision agriculture. present provide useful tools policymakers, researchers, other stakeholders providing active insights into achieve equitable agricultural development Poland.

The chapter “Challenges in Wheat Breeding the 21st Century” explores profound impact of climate change and population growth on wheat cultivation, emphasizing urgent need to develop high-performing cultivars. depletion natural resources, such as water soil, further complicates this process. role circular economy is highlighted, providing insights into efficient use agricultural resources. New genomic techniques next-generation sequencing are revolutionizing breeding, accelerating identification favorable genes for adaptability constant high yield, which vital future food security. To address current challenges, an integrated approach combining new breeding techniques, sustainable practices, principles essential. programs should focus developing varieties that resilient abiotic stresses, resource-efficient, adapted local conditions. International collaboration interdisciplinary research essential supporting innovation ensuring global Furthermore, lobbying extensive adoption improved, cost-effective cultivars will ensure accessibility farmers. By aligning goals with market demands environmental sustainability, foundation a can be established.
