Bacterial wilt of tomatoes, caused by Ralstonia solanacearum, is a significant soilborne disease that often causes reductions in the yield tomatoes. Dark septate endophytic fungi (DSE) represent potential biocontrol agents against plant pathogens can also enhance growth. To collect DSE with for biocontrol, fungus Cladophialophora guangxiense HX2 was isolated from rhizosphere soil sugarcane Hengzhou Guangxi Province, China, and novel species identified based on morphological properties DNA sequence analysis. C. demonstrated controlling effect 76.7% tomato bacterial promoted 0.5-fold increase seedling height. It colonized roots, enhancing activity antioxidant defensive enzyme systems. Transcriptomic qPCR approaches were used to study induction response strain infection comparing gene expression profiles. Gene ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genome (KEGG) pathway enrichment revealed tomatoes produce salicylic acid metabolism, ethylene-activated signaling, photosynthesis, phenylpropanoid biosynthesis infection. The IAA4 (3.5-fold change), ERF1 Hqt (1.5-fold change) substantially enhanced Hsc 70 (0.5-fold significantly reduced treatment group. This provides theoretical foundation further investigation into as biological agent prevention control wilt.

Waste accumulation in forest regions can have a severe impact on the soil mycobiome. However, research fungi inhabiting disposal sites remains limited. Therefore, this study focused taxonomy and phylogeny of ascomycetes isolated from dump-sites Chiang Mai, Thailand. The fungal strains were identified using morphological characterisations multigene phylogenetic reconstruction. A new genus, Pseudoleptodontidium, typified by Ps.chiangmaiense sp. nov. (Amphisphaeriales genera incertae sedis, Xylariomycetidae), along with two species, Penicilliumchiangmaiense (series Janthinella, section Lanata-Divaricata) P.terrae Erubescentia, Exilicaulis) (Aspergillaceae, Eurotiales), are described detail compared closely-related species. Our discovery offers valuable insights into associated disturbances.

Dothidotthia and Thyrostroma (Dothidotthiaceae, Pleosporineae, Pleosporales) species are plant pathogens causing canker, dieback leaf spots on a wide range of hosts. However, the naming is difficult, due to insufficient protologues, poor phylogenetic understanding lack sequence data from type low-quality illustrations. Moreover, connections between asexual sexual morphs these genera unclear. In this study, fresh samples were collected symptomatic twigs branches in southern European Russia.Multi-gene analyses based concatenated LSU, SSU, ITS TEF1-α dataset used investigate position confirm relationships Dothidotthiaceae. In can easily be distinguished multi-gene coupled with morphological characters. The new species, robiniae, celtidis, T. lycii, moricola, styphnolobii, tiliae, ulmicola ulmigenum introduced. In addition, Neodothidotthia negundinicola clusters hence synonymized under Dothidotthia. Two combinations, D. negundinis, introduced.

Abstract Bark and ambrosia beetles (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) are receiving increasing scientific interest because of the economic losses that they can cause in invaded areas. Nonetheless, there a number emerging pest species, belonging to different tribes, for which invasions have likely been overlooked past due their inconspicuousness, taxonomic confusion and/or misidentification. In summer 2022, severe infestations by bark beetle species tribe Cryphalini were observed on mango ( Mangifera indica L.) Eastern Sicily (Italy). No information about attacks trees Europe was available previously. However, occurrence cryphaline causing rapid common fig tree Ficus carica dieback reported same investigated area 2014 2015. We aimed identify attacking figs, describe fungal pathogens vectored this species. Our results revealed studied is Cryphalus dilutus Eichhoff pathogens, i.e., Botryosphaeriaceae, Ceratocystis ficicola Neocosmospora spp.,
