Multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) is necessary for choosing one from the available alternatives (or Pareto-optimal solutions obtained by multi-objective optimization), where performance of each alternative quantified against several criteria objectives). This paper presents a comprehensive review application MCDM methods in chemical and process engineering. It systematically outlines essential steps including various normalization, weighting, that are critical to making. The draws on published papers identified through search Scopus database, focusing works authors with more contributions field highly cited papers. Each selected was analyzed based MCDM, weighting used. Additionally, this introduces two readily programs performing calculations. In short, it provides insights into methods, highlights their applications engineering, discusses challenges prospects area.

Global environmental concerns are leading to paradigm shift in the automobile eco-system. This comprehensive study of ecosystem, incorporates technical, economic, and environmental-social-governance (ESG) dimensions. An "integrated multi-criteria decision-making" (MCDM) methodology using "interpretive structural modelling" (ISM) "fuzzy analytical hierarchy process" (FAHP) is deployed, The ISM models highlights prominent drivers critical barriers, establishes their hierarchy, depicts interrelationships. FAHP rankings for favours electric vehicles hydrogen fuel over others, while barriers promote hybrids alternate fuels like Biofuel, CNG/LNG. Unlike previous works, this considers all eco-system factors, both demonstrates a unique V-model. an innovative extension V-model from traditional systems engineering strategic project management domain. holistic approach, sync with natural state things, will enable government, industry, academia formulating framework towards future sustainability.
