Purpose Police officers increasingly deal with individuals mental health problems. These interactions are more likely to result in the use of force and fatalities. To monitor these situations, several experts have recommended body-worn cameras (BWCs) by police organizations. Past research evaluations overlooked how BWCs may influence health-related interventions, creating a knowledge gap regarding BWC policies should oversee them. This paper, thus, aims draw upon street-level bureaucracy framework explore perceive usefulness during interventions involving issues they exercise discretion activating Design/methodology/approach The authors analyzed comments on captured from 83 interviews 61 officers.
