Google Scholar’s results included many false matches. A few papers 21,395 in Dimensions were already highly cited, with substantial news social media attention. For topic, contrast previous studies, there seems be high degree convergence between articles shared web citation counts, at least short term. particular, that are extensively tweeted on day first indexed likely read relatively cited 3 weeks later. The ability to effectively prepare for and respond the psychological fallout from large-scale disasters is a core competency of military mental health providers, as well civilian emergency response teams. Disaster planning should be situation specific data driven; vague, broad-spectrum can contribute unprepared teams underserved patient populations. Herein, we review on sequelae twenty-first century pandemics, including SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19), offer explanations observed trends, insights regarding anticipated needs, recommendations preliminary how best allocate limited resources.Anxiety distress, often attributed isolation, were most prominent complaints during previous pandemics with COVID-19. Additionally, post-traumatic stress was surprisingly common possibly more enduring than depression, insomnia, alcohol misuse. Predictions COVID-19's economic impact suggest that depression suicide rates may increase over time. Available COVID-19 will mirror those pandemics. Clinicians leaders focus efforts negative effects particularly anxiety symptoms.
