Tolerance for ambiguity, reappraisal, and suppression mediate the relationship between problematic internet use and procrastination

The current scientific literature lacks studies on the relationship between problematic internet use (PIU) and procrastination, especially regarding mediating mechanisms underlying this relationship. present study examined association procrastination PIU, as well determining roles of tolerance for ambiguity, reappraisal, suppression. conceptual model was tested using data collected from 434 Iranian college students. participants completed a number psychometric scales assessing Structural equation modeling used to test hypothesized model. Results showed that suppression were positively associated with there negative reappraisal procrastination. Moreover, mediation analysis indicated fully mediated PIU However, it is also possible interpret results suggesting unimportant predictor once mediators are controlled for.

The Mediating Role of Procrastination in the Relationship between Fear of Missing Out and Internet Addiction in University Students

This study aims to examine the potential mediating role of procrastination in relationship between fear missing out and internet addiction. Employing a cross-sectional research design, this utilized paper–pencil form collect data from 315 students (65.4% undergraduate 66.3% females) 18 32 (Mage = 22.43; SD 3.81) studying at state university Türkiye. Data were collected through convenience sampling method. The was designed as survey model. design tested via mediation analysis. participants completed self-report assessments using Fear Missing Out Scale (FoMOs), General Procrastination (GPS-9), Young Internet Addiction (short form). findings showed that FoMO had significant positive direct effect on both (R2 0.13) addiction 0.33). also 0.34). Additionally, mediated (β 0.156, p < 0.001). These not only extend scope existing but hold practical implications for development sustainable interventions. The role of experiential avoidance with the mediation of distress tolerance in predicting corona anxiety in the period of covid-19 outbreak: structural equation model

Introduction: During the outbreak of Corona, anxiety due to Corona led psychological distress and challenged tolerance. Aim: The present study aimed investigate structural relationships between experiential avoidance with mediating role tolerance in period Covid-19. Method: method this was based on fundamental objective descriptive correlation type equation method. statistical population included all students Kharazmi University 2018-2019, who were during virtual education. Based this, 350 selected by multi-stage cluster random sampling. participants responded Alipour et al.'s Anxiety Scale (2018), Simons Gaher's Distress Tolerance (2005), Bond (2011) Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire a Google form. Finally, data analyzed via SPSS-24 AMOS-14. Results: results showed; model had goodness fitness. direct effect disease positively significant, therefore, experimental negatively significant (P<0.01). الخصائص السيكومترية للصورة الأردنية من مقياس التسويف اللاعقلاني لدى طلبة الجامعة ودرجة انتشاره بينهم في أثناء جائحة كورونا

الأهداف: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التحقق من الخصائص السيكومترية للصورة الأردنية مقياس التسويف اللاعقلاني ودرجة انتشاره لدى طلبة الجامعة. المنهجية: استخدم المنهج الوصفي المسحي، ولتحقيق أهداف جرى تطبيق على عينة مكونة 286 مشاركًا منهم 86 طالبًا، و200 طالبة اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة. الصدق الظاهري، وصدق البناء بطريقة التحليل العاملي الاستكشافي واستخرج معامل الثبات بطريقتي كرونباخ ألفا والتجزئة النصفية. النتائج: أظهرت نتائج وجود عاملين اثنين، العامل الأول: الالتزام بأداء المهمات، الثاني: التأجيل، طبقت عليهما عملية التدوير المتعامد (Varimax) ووجد أن نسبة التباين الكلي المفسرة بواسطة هذيْن العاملين بلغت (50.349%). كانت باستخدام للاتساق الداخلي (0.684) للعامل الأول، و(0.634) الثاني، بينما للمقياس ككل (0.657). في حين تراوح التجزئة النصفية (0.634) و(0.686) وللدرجة الكلية (0.542). وفي ما يتعلق بدرجة انتشار الجامعة فقد الأول (3.11)، وللعامل الثاني (3.01)، وهي متوسطة القيمة وبلغت (3.07) أيضًا القيمة. الخلاصة: النتائج يتمتع موثوقة الجامعة، مما يُشير صلاحيته قياس سلوك
