The article assesses the level and dynamics of economic development federal entities in Southern Russian multiethnic multicultural region. Currently, one of the main trends is study features and benefits regional development, increasing importance role regions in national world politics. The differences technological results that can be observed at levels are largely due to peculiarities institutional environment, i.e. degree concentration level high-tech companies, modern production innovation infrastructures. Russian Federation demonstrate noticeable regarding socio-economic availability human natural resources, development educational, scientific innovative potentials, depending on historical infrastructure. This examines clustering according indexes characterizing economic, activity. classification was carried out by method cluster analysis. Purpose . aim identify homogeneous groups similar their economic indexes, statistical analysis these based non-parametric methods correlation regression analysis, formation conclusions recommendations innovation. Materials information base data analytical state activity regions. following were used study: (Spearman’s rank coefficients, Mann-Whitney test), (Pearson’s coefficients determination), (non-linear models), multivariate classifications (cluster analysis), descriptive statistics (averages, structural averages, indicators variation, etc.).
