This study aimed to identify the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) of students in English Education Study Program at Faculty Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau Kepulauan. The MAI consists a self-administered questionnaire, which was administered Language Teaching Education. also investigate difference Metacognition levels between freshman senior students. qualitative research with 116 respondents. used cluster sampling is part probability sampling. data were collected by using questionnaire. After that, analyzed counting total score percentage for each questionnaire sentence. calculated explained obtain an ideal conclusion. results exposed that participants got highest result Regulation Cognition.
