Eosinophils are polymorphonuclear cells that have progressively gained attention due to their involvement in multiple diseases and, more recently, various homeostatic processes. Their well-known roles range from asthma and parasitic infections less prevalent such as eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis, esophagitis, hypereosinophilic syndrome.
