Background
and
Objectives:
The
male
urethra
is
a
complex
structure
that
plays
critical
role
in
genitourinary
health
function.
Despite
its
importance,
histological
descriptions
of
the
penile
urethra,
particularly
epithelial
components,
remain
incomplete.
This
study
offers
comprehensive
analysis
focusing
on
epithelium
across
distinct
anatomical
regions,
including
glans,
distal
proximal
fossa
navicularis
spongy
urethra.
Materials
Methods:
Utilizing
five
human
specimens,
we
employed
various
staining
techniques
to
elucidate
structural
characteristics
these
tissues.
Results:
Our
findings
reveal
notable
variations
composition,
such
as
presence
glycogen-rich
cells
mucous
glands
navicularis.
Additionally,
identified
previously
underreported
valvule-like
two
specimens.
In
addition,
glans
are
thicker
than
ones
