The big-data analysis of multi-omics data associated with maize genomes is increasingly utilized to accelerate genetic research and improve agronomic traits. As a result, efforts have increased integrate diverse datasets extract meaning from these measurements. For my Ph.D. dissertation, I evaluated the current pitfalls integration built platforms that automatically analyze omics' datasets. One such platform qTeller, now designed handle pan-genome level transcriptomics proteomics meaningful interpretation them by providing an interactive user interface. Although genomics been more extensively used, other omics technologies, as epigenomics, variomics, proteomics, are often incorporated into standard methodologies. Therefore, fully automated platform, called Maize Feature Store (MFS), allows complex construct models can be used predict gene traits or annotations. To demonstrate utility MFS, critically discussed application MFS in using only single genome (B73v5) case study. also aim utilize large-scale solve several biological problems phenome. continue improving tools assisting users implementing them.

Rhizome growth and development is regulated by phytohormone. However, endogenous phytohormones affect rhizome initiation, sustained in perennial grass species remains elusive. In this study, we investigated the morphological characteristics content of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), zeatin (ZT), gibberellic (GA3), abscisic (ABA) rhizomes two different Kentucky bluegrass. Using ultra-performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS), performed metabolite analysis rhizomes. our multi-rhizome bluegrass material ‘Yuzhong’ had an average 1113 rhizomes, while few-rhizome ‘Anding’ 347 The diameter length internode were 1.68-fold 1.33-fold higher than that ‘Anding’, respectively. dry weight was 75.06 g, 20.79 g. a ZT (5.50 μg·g−1), which 2.4-fold (2.27 μg·g−1). contrast, IAA, ABA, GA3 markedly ‘Yuzhong’. Correlation revealed significant correlations between ZT/ABA with number rhizome, internode, whereas GA3, IAA/ZT opposite. metabolic profiles, identified 163 differentially expressed metabolites (DEMs) (60 upregulated 103 downregulated) positive ion mode 75 DEMs (36 39 negative mode. Abstract Climate anomalies pose strong selection which can lead to rapid evolution. These global mean trends occur on a backdrop of interannual variability that might weaken or even reverse selection. However, the impact climatic evolution is rarely considered. We study through seven-year period encompassing severe drought across 12 populations Mimulus cardinalis (scarlet monkeyflower). Plants were grown in common greenhouse environment under wet and dry treatments, where specific leaf area date flowering measured. compare ability different climate metrics explain trait values, examining time-periods, including collection year, prior years, cumulative sequential years. find annual precipitation best describe over our period.
