L. monocytogenes is a significant foodborne pathogen. This study aims to explore the biodiversity and evolutionary characteristics of isolated from beef through pan-genome analysis, provide important reference value for its specific molecular detection. conducted an in-depth analysis virulence genes, antimicrobial resistance environmental genes 344 strains beef. Pan-genomic revealed that have open genomes, providing solid genetic basis adaptation different environments. MLST most prevalent types were ST9 CC9. A total 50 detected in these strains, with 26 such as inlA , inlB plcA plcB prfA present all strains. The four antibiotic norB lin mprF FosX indicating high fluoroquinolones, lincosamides, peptides, phosphonic acid antibiotics. 416 potential target identified pan-genomic screening, which then further filtered using hub gene selection method mining novel genes. Ultimately, 10 highly connected selected: bglF_2 tilS group_2105 group_2431 oleD ndk flgG purB pbpB fni . These play crucial role pathogenesis PCR results demonstrated excellent specificity Moreover, artificial contamination experiment, was able effectively detect samples. Therefore, holds detection

Listeriosis is a severe food-borne disease caused by Listeria monocytogenes infection. The data of listeriosis in Xi'an population are limited. aim this study to evaluate the clinical features and fatality risk factors for three tertiary-care hospitals Xi'an, China characteristics demographic data, underlying diseases, manifestations, laboratory indicators, cranial imaging examination, antibiotics therapeutic schemes, outcomes were collected between 2011 2023. Logistic regression analysis was performed. Seventy-one etiologically confirmed patients enrolled, including 12 neonatal 59 non-neonatal cases. majority presented as preterm (50%) fetal distress (75%). main manifestations included fever (88%), headache (32%), disorder consciousness (25%), vomiting (17%), abdominal pain (12%), convulsions (8%). rate cases higher than (42 vs. 17%). Although no deaths reported maternal listeriosis, only two 23 had an uneventful obstetrical outcome. Five delivered culture-positive neonates, whom decreased within 1 week post-gestation due complications. Twenty-eight neurolisteriosis 43 bacteremia. Neurolisteriosis compared with bacteremia (36 12%). neuroradiological images cerebral edema/hydrocephalus, intracranial infection, hernia. showed extremely low resistance ampicillin (two isolates) penicillin (one isolate). involvement central nervous system, hyperbilirubinemia, hyponatremia all enrolled subjects. Hyperuricemia contributed elevation listeriosis. When suffered symptoms system they should be alert possibility Early administration ampicillin- or penicillin-based therapy might beneficial recovery
