Abstract Hypertension is a disease closely related to inflammation, and the systemic immunity-inflammation index (SII) new easily detectable inflammatory marker. We aimed investigate association between SII hypertension risk in adult population US. utilized data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey spanning 1999 2018, incorporating comprehensive information adults reporting hypertension. This included details on blood pressure monitoring, complete cell counts, standard biochemical results. The was computed as platelet count multiplied by neutrophil divided lymphocyte count. employed weighted multivariate logistic regression model examine correlation Subgroup analyses were conducted explore potential influencing factors. Furthermore, smooth curve fitting two-piecewise analysis describe non-linear relationships identify inflection points. population-based study involved 44,070 aged 20–85 years. Following Ln-transformation of SII, multivariable revealed that, fully adjusted model, participants highest quartile Ln(SII) had 12% increased compared those lowest quartile, which statistically significant (OR:1.12; 95% CI 1.01, 1.24; P < 0.001), with for trend = 0.019. indicated no interactions specific subgroups except body mass subgroup (all interaction > 0.05). Additionally, displayed U-shaped curve, an point at 5.89 (1000 cells/μl). Based this research result, we found elevated levels American adults, cells)/μl). To validate these findings, larger scale prospective surveys are needed support results mechanisms.

Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) is a kind of vascular obstruction, that commonly and widely occurs in lower limbs. Due to the lack obvious symptoms early stage, rate misdiagnosis missed diagnosis high. This study evaluated expression significance lncRNA ASB16-AS1 (ASB16-AS1) DVT aiming identify novel biomarker for its screening monitoring. There were 77 patients 62 healthy individuals included this study. Plasma level was using PCR compared between groups. The diagnostic prognostic values assessed with ROC Cox analyses. correlation patients' conditions, inflammation, oxidative stress by Spearman analysis. significantly upregulated (P < 0.001), which could discriminate from high sensitivity specificity (AUC = 0.858). Additionally, positively pro-inflammation cytokines (rIL−6 0.853, rIL−10 -0.836, rhsCRP 0.787) pro-oxidative factors (rSOD -0.751, rMDA 0.842, r8-isoPGF2α 0.840). Background Prognostic nutritional index (PNI) has recently been identified as a novel marker of status. However, existing evidences on the association between PNI and risk lower extremity deep venous thrombosis (LEDVT) are limited conflicting. Objective To determine LEDVT, further evaluate its diagnostic value. Methods Over 10-year period (2012–2022), total 12790 patients who underwent compression ultrasonography examinations were consecutively included, 1519 (11.9%) LEDVT events occurred. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate association, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve constructed performance. Results After full adjustment, in third quartile (odds ratio [OR] = 1.486, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.205–1.832), second (OR 2.436, CI: 1.993–2.978) first 3.422, 2.791–4.195) at higher compared with those fourth quartile, test for trend significant. Consistently, each unit decrease associated 6.0 % (95% 1.052–1.069) increased LEDVT. Moreover, adding base model improved area under (AUC) from 0.721 0.709–0.734) 0.746 0.734–0.758). Conclusion is inversely provides significant incremental value identification events. These findings suggest that may be potential biomarker help clinicians identify make clinical decisions timely.

Background The association between inflammation and venous thromboembolism (VTE) has attracted increasing research interest. Recently, the systemic response index (SIRI) been proposed as a novel inflammatory biomarker, but its potential with lower extremity deep thrombosis (LEDVT) not investigated. Thus, this study aimed to explore SIRI LEDVT risk in large sample over 10-year period (2012–2022).Methods All hospitalized patients who underwent compression ultrasonography (CUS) examinations were consecutively identified from our hospital information system database. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used investigate risk. Sensitivity, restricted cubic spline subgroup analyses also performed. Results In total, 12643 included, 1346 (10.6%) events occurred. After full adjustment, higher level significantly associated an increased of (odds ratio [OR] = 1.098, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.068–1.128, p < 0.001), quartile 4 had 2.563-fold than those 1 (95% CI: 2.064–3.182, 0.001). A nonlinear relationship observed (P for nonlinearity inflection point 4.17. Below point, each unit increase corresponded 35.3% 1.255–1.458, No significant difference found above (OR 1.015, 0.963–1.069, 0.582). Sensitivity confirmed robustness association. This existed both distal proximal LEDVT.Conclusion High is patients. Given that readily available biomarker clinical settings, use deserves further exploration.

Background and objectivesVenous thromboembolism (VTE), encompassing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) secondary pulmonary embolism (PE), represents a significant complication post-hip fracture in the elderly. It is prevalent cause of VTE-related complications, prolonged hospitalization, mortality. This study aimed to investigate potential systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) as predictive marker for VTE older patients following hip fracture.MethodsThe was structured an observational, analytical, retrospective cohort analysis. A total 346 elderly diagnosed with were included. We retrospectively collated clinical laboratory data these patients. Using bootstrap method, divided 7:3 ratio into training (DVT group = 170 patients; no-DVT 72 patients) internal validation 81 23 patients). In cohort, relevant indices initially identified using univariate Subsequently, least absolute shrinkage selection operator logistic analysis employed determine independent risk factors (P < 0.05). dynamic online diagnostic nomogram developed, its discriminative ability assessed area under receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC). The nomogram's accuracy further appraised calibration plots. utility evaluated through decision (DCA) corroborated by within set.ResultsSII emerged sole factor from multivariate incorporated patients' fracture. demonstrated AUC values 0.648 0.545 testing cohort. Calibration curves close alignment predicted outcomes ideal curve, indicating consistency between actual outcomes. DCA suggested that all could derive benefit this model. These findings also validated cohort.ConclusionThe robust predictor venous fracture, underscoring valuable tool practice.
