Abstract Over the past decade, we have conducted geochemical and isotopic monitoring of fumarolic gases Peteroa volcano (Argentina‐Chile). Using resulting data set, constructed a conceptual model that describes evolution magmatic‐hydrothermal system identifies precursory signals last eruption. Our set includes new chemical analyses gas samples collected from 2016 to 2021, as well previously published 2010–2015 period. After an eruptive period in 2010–2011, activity was characterized by low degassing rates seismic activity. However, increase emissions observed 2018–2019 episode, leading major phreato‐magmatic Fumarole show different compositions during quiescent versus unrest/eruptive related interaction deep (magmatic) shallow (hydrothermal) fluid contributions. During periods, fumaroles exhibited SO 2 /H S, HF/CO , HCl/CO ratios (<0.1), revealing dominant hydrothermal contribution. In contrast, pre‐and syn‐eruptive showed up 100 times higher indicative enhanced magmatic input. When compared activity, increment magmatic‐related strong acidic suggests repeated inputs hot fluids, which are only partially dissolved into feeding fumaroles. Interestingly, 3 He/ 4 He δ 13 C‐CO values remained relatively constant 2016–2021, suggesting source did not significantly change throughout variations Peteroa's
