Optimizing MOOCs for Student Engagement: Insights from Conjoint Analysis
Abstract
Online
education
has
gained
significant
importance
in
the
twentieth
century.
Many
universities
have
made
MOOCs
(Massive
Open
Courses)
compulsory
for
students
to
enhance
their
skills.
This
study
investigated
combination
of
attributes
most
preferred
by
using
a
Conjoint
Analysis
approach.
The
Orthogonal
design
SPSS
was
used
identify
number
stimuli
which
preferences
were
taken.
Total
25
generated
during
this
process.
analyse
various
MOOCs,
including
course
format,
certification
type,
assessment
method,
instructor
engagement,
duration,
and
content.
respondents
who
had
already
appeared
examination.
A
total
252
responses
collected,
students'
analysed
with
help
conjoint
analysis.
revealed
that
prefer
self-paced
scheduled
live
sessions,
platform-provided
certificates,
offline
tests,
no
shorter-duration
courses,
courses
incorporate
real-life
case
studies.
